2007 HORNET



The intent of this class is to provide an avenue of affordable racing to everyone. The cars shall remain as stock as possible. No performance modifications allowed. Remember, no modifications unless specifically authorized.



1. Any 3 or 4 cylinder car ( No Turbo ) Maximum wheel base 103 inches with a completely STOCK body, engine, frame, suspension, transmission and rear end for make & model.
2. Driver’s door must be welded or chained shut. Drivers side door must have a steel plate mounted to it metal must be 1/8th inch thick. Passenger door must be bolted or chained and still be able to open.
3. Dash, steering and pedals must be stock. All insulation under hood must be removed.
4. Third brake light must remain intact and in working condition. Horn radio and speakers must. remain and be in working condition.
5. Stock carburetor or fuel injection for make and model .
6. Battery must be in stock location and securely mounted.
7. Stock exhaust system for make and model( may remove cat ).
8. Approved Dot passenger car tires only -60 series or bigger. All wheels and tires must be same size.
9. Gas tanks.

(A) If tank is located ahead of rear axle it may remain stock.

(B) If tank is located behind rear axle a fell cell must be used and securely mounted in trunk.

10. All glass must be removed.

11. Roll bar mandatory ---A single hood rollover bar mounted behind driver’s seat and mounted to. floor with steel plates and four (4) ½ bolts or grade 8-3/8 bolts and nylon lock nuts. Two braces must. be run either forward and or back at an angle to support roll bar and must be mounted to floor with. steel plate an 4 -1/2 inch bolts. Roll bar must be a minimum of 1 ½ diameter with .090 wall. Support. bar on driver’s side must be installed to protect driver.

12. Cars must be painted yellow with 2 Black or Red stripes at least 4 inches wide.

13. Racing seat belt is mandatory.

14. Aluminum seats are recommended.

15. Approved racing suit must be worn. Neck brace and gloves .

16. Roll cage padding on all bars within reach of driver.

17. Cars numbers must be on both sides and on roof 9in of 20 inches high.

18. Window nets are mandatory.

19. All participants must be at least 14 years of age with a signed minor release.
