2007 HOBBY STOCKS & FIGURE 8

Models:
1) 1960 or newer America made 2 or 4 door.
2) 2 wheel drive only.
3)105 inch minimum wheelbase.

Bodies:
1) Body and frame must match make and model.
2) Car must remain stock appearing.
3) All glass, chrome, and flammable materials from inside and outside of car must be removed.
4) No hood scoops or spoilers allowed.
5) Trunk may be cut out large enough for fuel cell, must be blocked back in.
6) Front inter wheel wells may be removed.
7) Dash may be removed and replaced with fabricated dash,
8) Fenders may be cut 3 inches around the tire for clearance. Sharp edges must be folded back.
9) All doors must be welded shut or bolted..
10) All cars must weight 3400 LBS with driver at any time.
11) All weight must be in block form securely mounted and painted white with car number.
12) All hoods must have safety pins not bolts.

Bumpers:
1) Must use stock appearing bumpers.
2) Bumper must be mounted in stock location.
3) Must have safety chains and tow straps.
4) Bumpers must be attached to fenders. With metal straps 3 inches wide.
5) After market nose pieces OK (Must be stock appearing)

Seat and Seat Belts:
1) All seats must be padded aluminum-racing seats.
2) Seats must securely mounted to roll cage.
3) Seat belts must be a 5 point harness racing type 3 inch. Not older than 2 years.
4) All belts must be kept in great condition.
5) Seat belts must be bolted to roll cage with 5/16 aircraft bolts or larger.

Chassis and Suspension:
1)After market front springs ok . May cut for ride height.
2) Shocks may only be O.E.M. or O.E.M. heavy duty replacement (any brand ok)
3) Stock wheel base for year, make, and model maximum 1/2 inch difference.
4) tying frame rail front to back ok.
5) Any brand replacement rear leaf springs must be mounted in stock location with stock mounts.
6) May use after market bushings for A-arms and rear leaf springs.
7) Lowering blocks OK must be the same size with pin in the same location and non adjustable.
8) No spring buckets allowed.
9) Adjustable shackles OK.

10)** May cut out frame for fuel pump, center dumps and center link only

Rear ends:
1)* No Locked, Posi, or limited slip rear ends with springs allowed.( Must remove any springs ) Cannot lock up at any RPM.
2) No shimming as to make a locked rear end.
3) Must use stock OEM rear end. Ford to Ford - Chevy to Chevy
4) No floaters, quick change, ECT.
5) Drive line must be painted white with number.
6) Drive line must have 2 safety loops, 1 in front and 1 in back.

Intake Manifolds:
1)Stock Intakes Only. NO marine intakes
2) Cast iron only
3) No high riders of any kind.
4) No Modifications allowed!

5) stock 2 or 4 barrel intakes OK (Not allowed at some tracks)

Exhaust:
1) Stock exhaust manifolds only.
2) No headers.
3) Center dumps OK. (Not allowed at some tracks)
4) Must run a muffler not to exceed 95 db at 100 feet.
5) No Exhaust of any kind inside of car.
6) All Exhaust must extend past driver seat.
7) Exhaust must have straps and chains front and rear.
8) Exhaust no larger than 2 1/2 inches.
9) Dual exhaust OK.

Ignition:
1) Must run stock ignition.
2) HEI OK.
3) Battery may be located in trunk area or behind driver.
4) Battery must be in container and securely mounted.
5) Ignition and battery must have a on and off switch painted in either red or yellow. Mounted to the left of the driver, and must be able to reach from outside of car.

Numbers:
1) All numbers MUST BE 20 INCHES TALL and 4 Inches Wide!!!
2) All cars must have a number on both sides and roof.
3) Use COLORS THAT THE SCOREKEEPER CAN READ!!!!
4) Must have smaller numbers on left side front and back.

5) NO silver gold or metallic numbers allowed.

Fuel and Fuel Systems:
1) No electric fuel pumps.
2) Any fuel line running through drivers compartment must be in steel sleeve.
3) All cars must have Fuel Cell.
4) Cell must be sealed in steel container.
5) Must have roll over valve.
6) Cell may not be any lower than middle of third member.
7) Must use gas only. (Racing Gas OK)
8) Must have fuel shut off and must be clearly marked On/Off.

Wheels and Tires:
1) Maximum 7 inch steel rims. Any offset.
2) Maximum 7 1/2 inch street tire 13, 14, or 15 inch.
3) No mud or knobby tires allowed.
4) Diamond back retreads 22-70-15 OK. If 7 1/2 or less.
5) All tires must be same size. (13-14-15)
6) 1 inch lug nuts mandatory.
7) If using stock rim the center must be re-enforced.

8) No bead locks –no screws allowed

Engines:
1) All engines internally and externally must remain stock per year, make, and model, unless listed below.
2) Any cam (no roller cams).
3) Must use stock rockers and *valve springs.
4) Maximum 180 lbs of compression at any time. ( Engine will be checked until gauge stops )
5) Double hump heads must remain stock.( NO VORTEX HEADS ALLOWED)
6) May interchange heads (305 to 350 - 350 to 305).
7) Dish or flat top pistons only.
8) Aftermarket flat top pistons ok.
9) Aluminum radiators ok.
10) After market pulleys ok.
11) After market valve covers ok.
12) 358 chevy - 360 ford MAX.
13) screw in studs ok.
14) Guide plates and poly locks ok.
15) After market oil pans OK.

16) * World sr & sr torker heads allowed

Carburetor:
1). Holley 4412 only Must remain stock (may change jets and remove choke).
2) 1 inch spacer allowed. Max 3 gaskets.
3) Must replace throttle cable with metal rod.
4) Carburetor must be covered with a metal dry element air cleaner 360 degrees open and must remain under hood. No top flow air cleaners allowed. No devices to increase air flow allowed.

Clutch and Transmission:
1) Must use stock clutch and transmission.
2) All transmissions must have explosion proof bell housing or shield.
3) All gears must be in working order.
4) Transmission cooler must be located outside of drivers compartment.

Brakes:
1) Must have 4 stock working brakes.
2) No adjustable proportioning valve of any kind.
3) No shut off valve of any kind.
4) No anti-lock braking systems.

5) Aftermarket pedals and master cylinders OK ( Must be NON adjustable )

Steering:
1) No Steering quickeners.
2) May change steering column.

Roll Cage:
1) Full roll cage is mandatory. Including halo bar.
2) .095 or heavier seamless.
3) Gussets required on all 90 deg. joints.
4) Minimum of 4 door bars on drivers side.
5) Roll Cage may extend up to the front of the frame horn for radiator support and to rear of car inside body.
6) All bars close to driver must be padded.
7) Must have a steel drivers side door plate welded to the outside of the roll cage must be at least 1/8 inch thick as to protect the driver.

Safety Stuff:
1) Neck braces and gloves mandatory.
2) Nomex-type racing fire suit mandatory. No holes- must be kept clean.
3) Fire extinguisher securely mounted in car.
4) Full faced helmet SA95 or newer must be in good shape. No M style helmet allowed.
5) Drivers side window net mandatory.
6) Out of area cars may run their track rules up to 5 times (No Points).
7) Buddy seats ok but all safety equipment will apply.

Everything must remain stock

Out of town hobbys may run 5 regular shows on there track rules.

Figure 8 cars

1) All Rules the same
2) No Buddy Seats Allowed.
3) *** If you are interested in running the figure 8 series you must be legal at all tracks involved so check their rules***

4) Head and or neck restraints highly recommended

5) NO BLACK OR DARK COLORED CARS ALLOWED
