2005 LIMITED LATE MODELS

The following rules cover the only changes allowed. Any illegal parts will be confiscated and destroyed. Cars cannot run without hoods for safety reasons.
BODY/TYPE/YEAR:
1. *1985 and newer American made production passenger vehicles. After market bodies, aluminum, steel or fiberglass. Front cover must be for year and type of car, plastic only. .
2. *Rear spoilers: 8” high, 72” wide, not to hang out past quarter panels. A side board may run to roof on left side only and no higher than spoiler. 3 spoiler braces maximum.
A. WHEEL BASE:
1. *106” minimum.
B. FRAME:
1. *MUST BE PERIMETER ONLY WITH NO MORE THAN 2” OFFSET SIDE TO SIDE. 2"x3" box tube, 1.20 wall minimum mandatory or the same dimensions as 2X3. No unibodies. Stock clip only: Ford, Chevy or Dodge. Must have 12" stock clip from center of spring cup; 6" forward, 6" back. Drivers side door bars must be plated with a 1/8 in steal plate mounted on the outside of the door bars.
C. ROLL CAGE:
1. 1-3/4 cage 0.95 minimum wall for main cage and door bars. Main hoop on cage must be no closer than 14" to center of rear end. Four door bars on left side, right side X. Cage must be the width of the body (no off-set cages) with rub rails inside body.
D. SUSPENSION:
1. Stock lower A-arm OEM. No after market. Tube upper arms OK. Coil springs only 5" minimum on Chevy or Ford, or front torsion bars on Dodge.
E. REAR ENDS:
1. Quick change or 9" Ford, with floaters OK.
F. REAR SPRINGS-REAR SUSPENSION:
1. Optional, but no torsion bars.
G. SHOCKS:
1. No aluminum shocks. One shock per wheel.
H. STEERING:
1. Optional
I. MOTOR SETBACK:
1. #1 spark plug even with left ball joint. Optional set back from one to six inches, all set back cars must carry fifty pounds bolted on in front of the bell housing.
J. MOTOR:
1. 10.5 maximum compression. 358 cubic inches maximum. Steel heads and blocks only. No porting, no roller cams. Chevy 360, Ford 363, Dodge 365.
ROCKER ARMS:
1.No offset rockers arms or Jessel rocker arms
K. CYLINDER HEADS:
1. Steel heads, all heads must be stock valve angle for make (Chevrolet=23deg.) No porting, grinding, port matching or Vortex heads. These are stock angles: 23 degree maximum on Chevrolet, 20 degrees on Ford and 18 degrees on Dodge.
L. RODS:
1. Any

O. INTAKE MANIFOLD:
1. Optional must be a cast aluminum commercial intake manifold. No box or fabricated manifolds.
P. IGNITION:
1. No magnetos.
Q. CAMS:
1. No roller cams.
R. FUEL PUMPS:
1. Pump must mount in the original mounting position. No belt drive pumps, No electric pumps.
S. BELL HOUSINGS:
1. Scatter proof bell housing mandatory. Starter motor must mount in stock location.
T. CLUTCH:
1. Three disk clutch OK. Must have clutch in working order.
U. TRANSMISSIONS:
1. Must be an OEM transmission with a minimum of two forward gears and one reverse gear. No Bert or internal clutch transmissions. Power glides without converters OK.
V. CARBURETOR:
1. *Any Four-barrel Holly up to 750 CFM. With 1-11/16 throttle bore Max. No deburring, stock butterfly screws, with no grinding. Butterflys must be same thickness and have the number on the butterflies for that carburetor. No air bleed jet in top of carburetor. The only thing that can be touched is the air horn may be cut off the top and you can drill a maximum 1/8” hold in the butterflies to make it idle better. Any carburetor found not to meet these rules will be taken and NOT returned.
W. OIL SYSTEM:
1. No dry sumps allowed.
X. WATER PUMP:
1. Optional.
Y. RADIATOR:
1. Optional. Must be in front of engine.
Z. FUEL CELLS:
1. Mandatory. Maximum capacity 32 gallons.
AA. WHEELS:
1. Eight inch maximum. Bead locks OK. Steel wheels only.
BB. TIRES:
1. *McCreary 84x8, 82x8 hard. McCoy P265, P245. Hoosier 8.0 26.5-15 8.0 27.0-15 500 compound.
CC. WEIGHT:
1. *Cars must weight 2,900 lbs. with driver after race.
DD. FUEL:
1. No alcohol. Must be gas only.
EE. SEAT:
1. Approved factory manufactured racing seat. Upholstered and padded is mandatory. POSITIVELY NO HOMEMADE ALUMINUM, PLASTIC OR FIBERGLASS SEATS ALLOWED.
FF. SAFETY BELTS:
1. A quick release seat belt and shoulder harness no less than 3" wide and a submarine (crotch) belt are mandatory.
2. All belt ends must be attached to roll bar cage separately from the seat with 5/16" grade 5 bolts min., and 1/8" safety cable attached to belt ends and roll cage.
3. A steel plate may be welded to roll bar cage at driver's right side for belt attachment to prevent driver from sliding side to side under belt.
4. Belts must come from behind driver.
5. Worn belts must be replaced. (No older than 2 years max.) The date stamp must be readable or the belts must be replaced.
6. WINDOW NETS ARE MANDATORY.
GG. FIRE CONTROL:
1. An on-board fire extinguishing system - Phoenix or equivalent is recommended.
2. System must use Halon (inert gas) or equivalent.
3. Valve plunger (actuator) must be mounted at right of driver and in plain view.
4. On-board system will be inspected and must be passed by Technical Inspector.
5. Each pit area must be equipped with a serviceable A-B-C type (dry powder) fire extinguisher, min. 10 pound capacity, in addition to system in racecar.
6. If no on-board, minimum 2-1/2 pound A-B-C type (dry powder) fire extinguisher must be mounted within driver's reach in an approved bracket.
HH. DRIVERS SAFETY:
1. All drivers must wear a Snell Z-90 approved crash helmet (full face) - with Snell sticker SA95 or newer.
Nomex-type or equivalent fire resistant uniforms, gloves and neck brace are mandatory (buy the best driver's uniform). Nomex hoods, socks, shoes are recommended. Uniforms must be kept clean and in good repair. Soiled, torn, worn, patched or poorly fitting uniforms will not be allowed.
