2007 Mini Stock Rules

* indicates changes 2007

MODELS
1)** Any Small Sedan ,wagons or pickups (No convertibles or jeeps)
2)** Rear or front wheel drives ( No all wheel drive )

ENGINES
1) **1600cc-to-2400cc STOCK 3 or 4 cylinders No turbo charged
2) 185 lbs compression at any time. Engine will be checked until gauge stops
3) Intake manifold must remain stock (No Alterations)
4) All smog may be removed
5) No roller lifters
6) Must run stock ignition
7) Stock rods only
8) NO offset bushings in connecting rod wrist pins
9) Stock type pistons only
10) Must run stock size valves
11)** No rotary engines
12) No swapping engines must be Toyota to Toyota Chevy to Chevy ect.
13) Engine must remain in stock location
14)** Engine must remain stock NO PERFORMANCE PARTS No modifications to enhance performance

15) **NO porting or polishing allowed on head or intake

CARBURETOR
1) One stock 2 barrel only factory stock per make and model
2) May remove butterfly
3) May change jets
4)** 2 return springs mounted to engine
5) Must run air filter with metal cover.

6)** fuel injection ok if car originally came as fuel injected

7)** No devices as to increase air flow allowed.

EXHAUST
1) Must run muffler
2) Must meet 95DBs at 100 feet
3) Must run stock exhaust manifold
4) No grinding, porting or polishing
5) All exhaust pipes must run under car and exit behind driver
6) No headers

FUEL
1) Stock mechanical fuel pumps recommended. If you run electric fuel pumps you must have a shut off valve clearly marked.
2) GAS only
3) Must run fuel cell
4) Cell must be securely fastened inside of trunk (or approved by tech).
5) Must have roll over valve
6) All fuel line running inside of drivers compartment must be in steel sleeve
7)* Cell must be in center frame rails (+or -- 2 in) in steel container
8) reminder of trunk must be enclosed.
9) cell must be not lower than center of rear end.

BODY
1) Must remain stock appearing
2) All body parts must remain in stock location
3) Fire wall must remain in stock location
4) No fiber glass, aluminum
5)** Doors must welded
6) **Bumpers must remain stock appearing may run tubing behind for support
7) Bumpers must be plated to fenders 3 in wide strap
8) Must remove all glass and plastic may remove dash and replace with fabricated dash
9) May take out stock steering and replace with steel shaft
10) Must have readable numbers on both doors and on roof
11) NO Rear view mirrors
12) Windshield must be removed and replaced with screen or bars
13) All weights must be painted white and securely mounted with Number
14) Engine size must be clearly marked on hood
15) ** Must have at least 1 strap or bar to keep debris out of drivers compartment

16) * May run hood scoop no taller than 2 ½ in tall covered in back

BATTERY
1) One battery only
2) Battery must be securely mounted and in a approver container
3) A battery kill switch is to be mounted on left side of drivers compartment and clearly marked yellow or red

ROLL CAGE
1) A full cage is mandatory
2) 1 ½ OD .95 wall
3) Must have 3 door bars on both sides
4) Gussets are required on all connections in main cage
5) Must run bar in trunk for fuel cage protection
6) Front loop OK
7) All bars close to driver must be padded
8) Seat must be mounted to cage
9) Cage must be mounted to floor with 4x4 plate
10) No tying of frame rails front to back.
11) A 1/8 inch steel plate welded to outside of drivers door bars as to protect driver.
12) Roll cage must have loop for seat and seat belts to be mounted.

TRANSMISSION
1) **Stock transmission only Must have all working gears
2) Stock clutch (Must be viewable at all times)
3) **Stock fly wheel (Must be viewable at all times) NO Aluminum
4)**Must have scatter approved shield

DRIVE TRAIN and Suspension
1) Must run all stock parts
2) Driveline must be painted white and have 2 safety loops 1 in front and 1 in the rear
3) Any toe in or toe out is allowed
4) Stock shocks and rear springs only and must be in stock location
5) * Stock front springs only, Cutting front springs ok (may use spacers)
6) * No( Adjustable )front struts

7) Camber may be altered
8) May have rear shackle adjuster
9) Wheel base must remain stock +/- 1.5 inches
10) No weight jacks allowed

11) **Stock frame only No Modifications allowed

12)*May add length to lower a arms

13)** May move bolt hole in strut tower
14) Everything else must remain stock

15)** Clutch and brake pedals must be in stock location

WHEELS AND TIRES
1) Wheel spacers ok
2) 1 inch lug nuts mandatory
3) ** 13 inch or 14 inch (STEEL) rims only 7inches wide maximum
4) Must run DOT approved passenger car tires only * No racing tires of any type
5) No mud grip or aggressive tread
6) Grooving allowed
7) No air bleeders

8)** Wheels must be same off set

REAR ENDS
1) Must run stock rear end for make and model
2) May lock up

BRAKES
1) Must run stock brakes
2) After market brake pads ok
3) After market master cylinders ok
4)** 3 wheel brakes ok NO adjustable brake valve

Cooling

1) **Electric fans OK

2) **Water only

3) **Catch can required Min 1 quart

4) ** Transmission cooler must be located outside drivers compartment

OTHER STUFF
1) Must have at least single layer fire suit (RACING)
2) *Must have Snell 95 or better helmet
3) *Gloves and neck brace mandatory
4) Aluminum racing seat mandatory mounted to roll cage not floor pan
5) Window net mandatory
6) Seat belt must be of racing type 3 inch wide securely mounted to the roll cage with a min of 5/16 air craft bolts. Belts must be no older than 2 years and in great condition
7) Fire extinguisher must be mounted in car
8)* Their may be allowance to certain makes and models to insure a competitive class these cars must be pre marked by an official
9) All cars must have numbers clearly marked on both sides and roof plus smaller numbers on left side front and back
10) The pre-race inspection is mandatory, this inspection is for safety purposes only

Officials may check cars at any time for rule violations
If you have any concerns please ask an official before the start of the nights events

1600cc = 2100lbs-------1800 = 2150-------2000 = 2200-----2100 = 2250------2200 =2275-------2300 = 2300------2400 = 2350

Santa Maria cars 1 pound per CC

Bakersfield cars 2000 lbs at any time And NO more than 52% left side weight
