Super Mini Stock 2007
**Mod 4 and Supers will run together
MODELS
A) Any front engine or rear engine small car or truck allowed. drives No front wheel or four wheel drives. No two seat sport cars allowed.
B)* Frames, running gear and engines must be all the same manufacturer.
C)* No mix and matching allowed.
D)* weight rule 1 pound per CC
CHASSIS
A) *Wheel base must be stock. No tubing or purpose built racing chassis allowed
B)* Frame must remain stock O.E.M. (Unibodies may reinforce with steel tubing front to rear, subject to tech-man approval.)
C) Steel springs that are stock appearing may be used. Only one (1) spring per wheel assembly. Screw jacks allowed.
D)* Only one shock per wheel. Racing shocks are allowed, no coil over shocks.
E) Upper control arm may be after market and is to be mounted in stock location only.
F) Aftermarket sway bars are allowed in stock location.
G) Shackles must be in stock location, rear adjustable shackles are ok.
REAR-ENDS
A) No "Quick Change" Rear-Ends.
B) Spider gears may be welded up (Lincoln Locker).
C) No Locker or floater rear ends.
D) No "Gold" or "True" tracks.
E) Mini spool is allowed.
REAR SUSPENSION
A) OEM Rear Suspension ONLY.
B) Lowering blocks are allowed.
C) Adjustable shackles may be used. Sliders ok.
D) Leaf or Coil spring must be mounted in stock location.
STEERING
A) Steering quickeners are allowed.
BODIES
A)* All bodies must be neat in appearance. Aftermarket bodies OK. fiberglass bodies allowed.
B) Fenders may be trimmed to clear tires and must be rolled inside.
C) All vehicles will start race with all body parts in place unless approved by pit steward or tech-man. Appearance will be neat and clean at all times.
D) No holes in hood or deck except for air cleaner.
E) Rear spoiler allowed. Maximum 8" blade mounted at any angle.
F) Full firewall required between driver and fuel cell compartment with all holes covered with 20 gauge steel.
G) May have Late Model type interior. (Covered front window to rear deck)
H) Doors must be welded or bolted shut.
I) All chrome, glass, and burnable materials must be removed.
J) Hood to be secured with hood pins.
K) *Rear tires must be covered either by leaving bed floor and inner fender in place or making a steel or aluminum cover.
L) All vehicles will be neatly painted and lettered. Letters to be a minimum of 18 inches high on top and both sides. Top letters must read from passenger side.
M) Windshield area must have protective bars or screen in front of driver. Plus a center strap as to keep debris our of drivers compartment.
N) Bumpers must have no sharp edges or ends which will hook other race vehicles. Front loop allowed.
O) All bumpers may be reinforced with tubing. Not to exceed 1 1/2 in. OD.
P) Side rub rails are allowed. Maximum 1 1/2in. OD steel tubing allowed. Must be located within 2in. of the body skin and ends will be angled 90 degrees toward body so as to not "hook" other race vehicles.
Q) Rear panel of truck cabs must be 20 gauge steel. R) Truck cab pillars are to be on all four corners of cab and must be stock appearing.
ENGINES
A) Maximum 2400 c.c. series engine. Same manufacture as vehicle. Maximum over bore is .060. Four cylinder engines only. No rotary, Cosworthy, Indy, or Aries allowed.
B)* Engine must remain in stock location. + or - 1 inch.
C) No oil cooler, accu-sumps, dry sumps, or external oiling systems allowed.
D) Only one cam per engine. Hydraulic, Solid lifter and Rollers all ok.
E) Any intake manifold for a single carburetor will be allowed; aluminum or cast.
F) Header will be allowed.
G)* Radiator must be mounted in stock location only.
H) Cylinder heads must be designed for 4 cylinder engines. No adapted V-8 heads or aftermarket heads.
I) No Aluminum heads unless originally supplied by Vehicle manufacturer.
Clutches
A) Aftermarket racing clutches and flywheels are allowed.
B) All vehicles must start under own power and must not move with clutch engages while in gear.
C) NO DIRECT DRIVE or NO CONICAL CLUTCHES.
D) Transmission must has a scatter-shield made of at least 1/4 in steel 180 degrees. No belts or blankets allowed.
Electrical
A) No Magnetos of any kind. Electronic ignitions allowed.
B) Aftermarket, high performance and made for racing equipment is allowed.
C) NO electronic traction devices allowed. Penalty will be severe.
CARBURETION AND FUEL
a) Any single 2 barrel down draft carburetor allowed with a minimum of two return springs which must work independently of each other.
b) Race gas only.
c) No fuel injection or turbo chargers allowed.
d) Should fuel lines run through drivers compartment and in steel ot steel braided lines with no fittings.
e) 16-Gallon maximum fuel cell separated from drivers compartment and properly secured with a minimum ground clearance of 12". Fuel cells are mandatory. Fuel cell must be covered if located on bed floor. If there is a bed cover, fuel cell must be mounted under that.
f) Electronic fuel pumps may be used. There must be a fuel kill switch and rollover kill switch if electrical fuel pumps are used.
TIRES—WHEELS
A) Any steel wheel, Maximum of 8" wide. Racing wheels are optional. I inch lug nut mandatory
B) Studs must stick through lug nuts.
C) Any DOT Racing tire with a maximum width of 8" will be allowed.
D) Grooving of tires is allowed.
E) Bead locks allowed.
EXHAUST
1) Must have muffler
2) Must meet 95D.B. at 100ft
3) No exhaust may run thru driver compartment Unless completely enclosed and safe for fire crew
4) Exhaust must have 2 safety chains. One in front and one in back
Brakes
A) Three wheel braking allowed.
B) Adjustable proportioning valves allowed.
C) Aftermarket pedal assemblies with single or dual master cylinders allowed. Any OEM steel calipers are allowed.
D) Rear disc brakes are allowed.
Safety
A) a high back, left turn racing seat only. Aluminum only.
B) Seat must be securely mounted to roll cage in steel frame.
C) Driver's harness will be five (5) point design with 3" lap straps and shoulder straps, securely and properly mounted to roll cage. NO old, faded, or fraying belts.
D) Driver's side approved window net mandatory. Nets to be properly attached to roll cage and must release from the top. Must be tech approved.
E) Helmet must be rated Snell 95 or newer.
F) Fire suits in good shape with no holes or frayed edges are mandatory. Fire-proof gloves and boots and mandatory.
G) Must have a minimum 2 11/2 lb. Fire extinguisher mounted in a quick release bracket within east reach of driver. Extinguisher must be metal. No plastic or plastic parts will be allowed. Extinguishers must have a current certification tag at all times.
H) Fire Suppression Systems recommended.
Roll Cage
A) All roll cages must be made of 1 1/2' or larger .095" wall mild steel tubing minimum. NO GALVANIZED OR BLACK PIPE.
B) Hoops must be continuous.
C) Cage must be mounted on no less that 6 points on at least 6x6 plates or sub-frame of vehicle. Foot protection is highly recommended inclusive in roll cage.
D) Every cage must have at least one halo bar.
E) Main cage must include gussets with 1 gusset per perpendicular joint.
F) Driver's door bars must be in a minimum of 3 horizontal and 2 vertical bars. Passenger door bars must be minimum of 2 horizontal and 1 vertical bar.
G) Any roll bar padding in driver's compartment must be fire retardant
Modified will follow all rules except that are marked with a*
